Neuroplasticity: Curren$y and Dragons

This interview changed my life. Although the Metta World Peace reenactment at 1:25 is golden, skip to 4:10 for what this post is focused on.

When asked what his purpose is, Curren$y dives into an explanation to showcase that aspirations aren’t impossible and more realistic than you may think. Taken literally, Curren$y is speaking on a desire to achieve material wealth such as “private jets, Lamborghinis, and mansions” and because these things are not figments of the imagination such as a “dragon,” they are all entirely possible to obtain. It is important to note a couple things here. One: the point of the video isn’t saying aspirations such as these are what’s important in life as he points to what really matters in the video (mind and heart). Two: If not taken literally, this mindset could be applied to just about any aspiration in life. Like driving down the cost of therapy to $0.

At the time in my life when I watched this interview, I was quite blown away. Up until that point, nobody had articulated how achievable goals in this lifetime could be. In essence, Curren$y was teaching one how to counter the act of catastrophizing and laying out a playbook on how to achieve one’s goals. These words single-handedly expanded my mind and opened a world of possibilities. I often play this interview back to strengthen these neural pathways in my mind. And this interview is just one example of how Curren$y demonstrates the ability to reframe life and carve a new path. Within style, he has driven trends from the underground influencing the likes of Lil Wayne to wear A Bathing Ape. Within music, his instrumental tastes and unconventional song structures serve as additional evidence of his uniqueness. Curren$y is a treasure and must be protected at all costs. Pilot Talk I is also top 5 albums of all time.

Also may be one of the funniest dudes of all times. Here.
